My background
I’m Latisha Walker, an artist and designer from Orangeburg, South Carolina. I’m the creator behind Touched by Tisha, where I transform emotion, color, and movement into expressive paintings and custom home décor.
What began as a personal creative outlet has grown into a brand that blends fine art with everyday living. I create artwork, pillows, blankets, tumblers, coasters, and other décor pieces that bring warmth, beauty, and intention into homes and spaces.
My work is inspired by life’s journey—its challenges, its triumphs, and the moments of light God places along the way. Through my art, I aim to uplift, inspire, and make the world a little more beautiful, one piece at a time.

My experience
My journey has been shaped by service, leadership, and creativity. Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent years in law enforcement, serving communities across South Carolina and breaking historic barriers as the first African American woman promoted to several key investigative and leadership roles. My work focused on protecting vulnerable populations, advocating for victims, and teaching others through specialized training.
Today, I serve as a Councilwoman and as the founder of a nonprofit organization, continuing my commitment to community uplift and empowerment. These experiences have taught me resilience,
compassion, and the importance of using my gifts to serve others.
In the art world, I carry that same dedication into every painting and décor piece I create. My work has been featured in exhibitions, community spaces, and private collections, and my custom designs allow clients to bring meaningful, expressive art into their homes.
Everything I create reflects the layers of my journey—service, strength, healing, and purpose.
My vision
My vision is to create art that goes beyond the canvas—art that brings comfort, hope, and beauty into the spaces where people need it most. This moment, delivering my paintings to our local hospital, reflects the heart of why I create. I believe that creativity can heal, uplift, and inspire, and that every piece of art carries the power to shift the atmosphere around it.

My goal is to use my gifts to serve, support, and brighten the lives of others—whether through fine art, custom home décor, or meaningful moments like this one. When my artwork becomes part of a healing environment, a home, or a heart, I know my vision is being fulfilled.
